Batch Expert 5.4 Released
ILS recently released Batch Expert version
5.4. The new version increases the productivity of Batch Expert SCADA and expert system applications by incorporating new features and
improving the ease-of-use of existing interfaces.
-
The addition of batch abstracts.
Scientists and operators can enter a batch abstract that corresponds to
a batch. Users can query to find batches that have a batch
abstract that contains keywords.
-
KPI interface to enter qualitative
stop-batch information that indicates if a batch was considered
successful or not successful. If not successful the operator can
either choose from administrator configured list of categories/reasons
or type in their own reason.
-
KPI summary data that describes the
performance of a batch. Recipe developers have access to new
recipe tasks that will collect or derive key statistics. The
manner in which the data is collect can either be event driven (change
of unit operation, alarm is triggered, etc.) or based upon a
time-interval.
-
Improved recipe-based alarm management.
New recipe transitions that wait until an alarm(s) is triggered and new
tasks to trigger basic alarms.
-
New variability alarm allows for
automatic detection of failed probes (frozen reading) or highly noisy
instrument.
-
New equipment support for real-time
communication with Satorius® BioStat
B DCU reactors, Satorius® scale, YSI
2700 glucose analyzer, and Alicat®
16 series gas flow meter, and New Brunswick Scientific®
BioFlo 110 reactors.
